Funeral services for Opal June Craft, 68, of Cabin Creek, were held January 2 at Millstone Missionary Baptist Church. Burial was in the Cabin Creek Farm Cemetery at Thornton.
A daughter of the late Sam and Nannie Webb, she died December 31.
Mrs. Craft was an expert in many fields. She could patch up cars with Bondo, and her grandchildren with iodine and hugs. She perfected her lawn with a riding lawn mower, and used her garden hoe to wield off snakes. Her favorite place to be was the kitchen.
She served Millstone Missionary Baptist Church with her prayer line and her ability to recall any church member’s phone number.
Surviving are her husband, Preacher Bill Craft; a daughter, Billie June Richardson and husband Tom; a son, John Craft and wife Sharla Jo; two grandchildren, Celesta Riffe and husband Chris, and Jonathan Richardson and wife Lesley; five great-grandchildren, Cassity McCool- Solis and husband Drew, Corissa Johnson and husband Austin, Colton Riffe, Drew Richardson, and Clay Richardson; and two greatgreat grandchildren, Noah and Caiden McCool-Solis.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Fay Webb, Juanita “Ped” Holbrook, Gay King, and Ladevia Frost.
Everidge Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
