One hundred-year-old Robert “Bob” Collins died October 16 at his home in Blackey.
A son of the late Will and Eva Thomas Collins, he was the widower of Myrtle Collins and the father of the late Leslie Collins and Lester Collins.
Survivors include five sons, Roger Collins and wife Vera, Columbus, Ind., Randall Collins and wife Teresa, Richmond, Rodney Collins and Shelby Collins, both of Blackey, and Larry Collins and wife Catherine, Lexington; a daughter, Vaughnetta Ruth Collins of Lexington; a brother, Cleve Collins and wife Dovie, Little Colley; six grandchildren, and eight greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services were held October 18 at Letcher Funeral Home. Burial was in the family cemetery at Dry Fork.
