Funeral services held for Samantha Hall

Funeral services for Samantha Hall, 92, of Colson, were held February 23 at Everidge Funeral Home. Burial was in Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine.

A daughter of the late Ezra and Ella Everidge, she died February 12 at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was the widow of Dayle Hall.

Mrs. Hall was a salesclerk at Hobbs & Company in Whitesburg, and then a postal rural route delivery carrier. After her retirement from the Whitesburg Post Office, she became the owner of Samantha’s Market at Colson.

She was a member of the Big Leatherwood Old Regular Baptist Church, and was known for her kindness to children, friends and neighbors.

Surviving are her daughter, Kathy, and a sister, Wilma Preece of Hindman.

Preceding her in death were six siblings, Gladys Holbrook, Dicie Jenia, Polly Ann Gibson, Emmitt Everidge, Nell Williams, and L.B. Everidge.
