Lora Virginia Moore, 94, died September 6 at her home in Jenkins.
Born at Burdine, she was a daughter of the late Elmer Hunt and Mary Hamilton Hunt and was a lifelong resident of Letcher County
She was a member of the Payne Gap Freewill Baptist Church and had worked at Sharon Heights Hospital, Jenkins Clinic and Cavalier Drugstore and Café.
Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by four brothers, James, Elmo, Jerry and Eddie; two sisters, Ruthie and Ruby; her husband, Ralph Moore; a son, Gregory Allen Moore; a daughter-inlaw, Tammy Moore; two grandsons, Ralph Rose and Kenny Kincer; and three great-grandsons, Jerry Wyatt, Mason Rose and Kasyn Rose.
Surviving are two daughters, Deanna Rose and husband Jerry, and Shelia Rose and husband Carl; three sons, David Moore and wife Belinda, Donald Moore and wife Linda, and Dennis Moore; a brother, Gerald Hunt; four sisters, Barbara Fields, Joyce Mullins, Zena Johnson and Evelyn Polly; 16 grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren, and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held September 11 at Carty- Polly & Craft Funeral Home. Burial was in the Bentley Cemetery at Payne Gap.
