Funeral services for Paula Miller Johnson, 51, will take place Saturday, May 15, at the Fleming-Neon Church of God. Visitation will be held from 6 to 10 p.m., Friday, May 14, at the church. Burial will be at the Sexton Cemetery in Jackhorn.
A daughter of Pauline Miller of Paradise, Texas, and the late Glen Miller, she was born in Whitesburg. She died May 8 in Bridgeport, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Dewey R. Griffith, and her paternal grandparents, Coy and Effie Miller.
Ms. Johnson enjoyed spending time with her daughter, Carlee. She loved playing drums and keyboard in a band called Legacy. She enjoyed going to the beach, riding four-wheelers, and riding her horse Pepper. Her prize toy was her 1996 Mustang.
Surviving in addition to her mother are a daughter, Carlee Sexton of Jackhorn; a brother, Jimmy Miller and wife Laurie of Paradise, Texas; a sister, Pamela Richardson of Paradise, Texas; her maternal grandmother, Minerva Hayes of Bridgeport, Texas; seven nieces and nephews; and 15 great-nieces and great-nephews.
