Gabby’s fishing fever

Boat show again offered winter fun

There are several boat shows going on in our area and I got to go to the one in Pikeville last Saturday.

It was held at the East Kentucky Expo Center. They have been having it there for about six years. I have been to every one of them, and always have a great time.

There were several boat dealers there with several aluminum bass boats and a lot of nice fiberglass boats. There were a lot of very nice pontoon boats. Some were set up for fishing with live wells and fishing seats and fish finder units.

There are many campers also. I always like going through them and seeing what is new or changed since last year. There is always something new to see.

Some of the aluminum boats are as big and as nice as most of the fiberglass bass boats. I have had these type of fishing boats before and always had fun fishing off them.

There were also four-wheelers of all types from the regular style up to the large side-by-sides. Some of these cost as much as a lot of small cars.

There were also some hunting and archery supplies on sale.

All of the dealers were there to show their products and to try to make deals with people on things. Up on the upper level there were some venders that had fishing and hunting stuff for sale. I bought a few jigs to fish with.

Check around and find a boat show close to you and have a lot of fun.
