Gabby’s fishing fever

It’s hard to catch fish in muddy waters

Thank the Lord springtime and warmer weather appears to be on the way soon. But for now we are left with all this muddy flooded water and the lakes and rivers are a mess and very swift and muddy.

There is one thing you can bet your favorite rod and reel on, and that is that the hardest type of water to catch fish in is cold, muddy water so I guess you could say for now just get all of your tackle and rods out and clean and organize your stuff and be ready in a few weeks to start your early spring, late winter fishing.

If you are looking for some- thing to do, then the 2015 RV and boat show at the East Kentucky Expo center in Pikeville has been rescheduled for March 19, 20 and 21. This is a very good show each year and is close and a fun thing to do with the whole family.

I have seen where Bass Pro shops have been having spring fishing-related activities going on at different stores. You might want to check this out.

The only place to do some good fishing would be away from here at a lake that did not get all this bad weather or maybe a pay lake. Just hang in a few more weeks and we can all do the sport we all love so well, fishing, soon.
