We were in Georgia to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends. As normal we fished all we could and had a great time and caught a lot of fish. We caught around 40 of a wide variety of fish — bass, bluegill, catfish and trout.
I was bluegill fishing and kept seeing big carp swimming, so I rigged a line up with a dough ball on it. It did not take long for a big carp to find it and jerk my floater down. I set the hook and had it on for a while, but it took off and broke my line.
It was around 75 degrees and very nice. We started fishing in the main lake area and it was slow at first but picked up as the day went on. After a while we went to the dam spillway area and caught several nice fish. This was a very beautiful spot. When it slowed down there we went to the river that runs out of the lake and fished off of a old bridge and caught a bunch of bluegill.
After a while we went back to the main lake for the rest of the day and caught several good bluegill. It was a great day of fishing.
