Like many of you, I grew up playing and fishing in the creek. I have many good memories of fishing down on Bull Creek when I was younger with my grandpa. Everything was so much smaller and life seemed to be more enjoyable.
We are blessed to have so many good streams and creeks to fish in our area. I have had many good trips with friends and family that I will never forget. When you are going fishing in a small stream or creek all you need is light tackle.
A small piece of a red worm will catch anything that swims. Stick to basic small lures and baits. Look for areas along the bank with some type of cover like wood or rocks. These are perfect places for fish to hide.
If you are fishing with a casting type lure, make your cast across the current and work the bait back. This can draw an explosive strike.
If you have not done this type fishing be sure to try it soon.
