While it is the heat of summer for sure outside — and will be for a while — we who love fishing have to find ways to fish at times when it is not so hot out.
There are several options, such as fishing early and late or at night or going wade fishing. Just before or while its raining can be a good time to go as well.
You can fish early and get in on the morning top-water bite or you can fish late and get in on some good action deeper and close to the bank on crank baits and spinner baits.
Wade fishing a cool, shaded stream is one of the most peaceful ways you will ever fish. My favorite is to night fish. The fish are active all night and the anglers have the lake mostly to themselves.
So just pick one and beat the heat on the next trip!
