While we have a brand new year 2020 coming up soon, a lot of anglers have good memories of their fishing trips in 2019.
I got to do some good lake fishing in the spring and summer months and then some fall fishing later in the year. I didn’t get to go fishing nearly as much as I would like, but when I did get to go I had some good trips and caught some nice fish.
My family and me went camping at Carr Creek Lake this summer and got to do some fishing off the bank, mostly just for bluegill. We did good and caught several nice ones. I really love to fish for bass, walleye, crappie and big musky when I can but we were just so busy with a lot going on that I really did not have the time to go fishing as much as I normally do.
But with the New Year coming soon and early spring around the corner I plan on getting back on track.
This past spring on Carr Creek Lake was very good for bass fishing. A lot of bass tournaments were held there and it seemed to take a good-size limit to place or win. I have fished for bass in this lake for as long as it has been around and it seems to run in up and down cycles. I remember years of good solid bass action and also tough years where you really had to be on top of your game to do any good at all.
I think Carr Creek Lake has been around long enough now to be a real good bass lake with some really nice size bass in it and the future is bright and will be for years to come.
I hope everyone had a good 2019 and hope they have an even better 2020. Happy New Year to everyone from Gabby’s Fishing Fever.
