Gabby’s Fishing Fever

The season is only halfway over

Labor Day weekend behind us and I hope everyone had a safe and fun weekend.

A lot of people were camping and fishing and spending time on the lakes over the weekend. Me and my family had a picnic and hung out and fished over at Carr Creek Lake and had great time. But we always seem to have fun doing stuff like that.

After Labor Day a lot of people consider it to be the end of the summer season. In reality it sure is not. We still have much more hot days ahead. As far as big changes in fishing due to seasonal changes it will be the same for several weeks to come.

When the really big changes start happing is in mid-fall to early winter, which is when the fishing patterns will also change. For now, I will just keep up with the same type of fishing I have been doing over the summer for several weeks to come.

All the seasoned anglers look forward to seeing cooler weather and the kick-off of the fall fishing season. My favorite time of the year to fish all is from around mid-October until it gets too cold in mid-winter to safely fish. There are more big trophy fish and more numbers of fish caught at this time of year.

So just look to the weather and temperatures to make your fishing choices instead of the calendar. It works out much better.
