GENEVA MAGGARD POOL

Geneva Maggard Pool, 77, died September 22 in Atoka, Oklahoma.

Born in Letcher County to the late France and Maggie Ison Maggard,, she was the mother of the late Nageala Hutson.

She was a sister of the late Herbert Maggard, and a sister-in-law of the late Naomi Maggard.

She was graduated from Whitesburg High School, and was business owner of a restaurant and credit bureau, and had worked in advertising at Atoka County Times.

Mrs. Pool was a longtime member of the Southside Baptist Church, and had enjoyed Bridge Club, bowling and golf when she was younger.

Surviving are her husband, Jimmy Blaine Pool; three daughters, Teresa Partin and husband Bob of Waskom, Tex., and Diana Pool and Linda Garside, both of Atoka, Okla.; three brothers, Paul Maggard and wife Mary, Hargus Maggard and wife Jenny Lou, and David Maggard and wife Frankie, all of Cumberland; a grandson, James Robert Houchen of Denton, Tex.; six granddaughters, Lynsay Smith and husband Jimmy of Plano, Tex., Maggie Houchen of Houston, Tex., Amber Hill and husband Tyrell of Atoka, Okla. Amanda Crowson of Oklahoma City, Okla., Miranda Hutson of Stingtown, Okla., and Jessica Howard and husband Tim of Atoka, Okla.; six great-grandchildren, Courtney Hill, Amairah Hill, Aven Hill and Chloe Hill, all of Atoka, Okla., Taylor Crowson and Tilar Crowson, both of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Tanor Crowson of McAlester, Okla.; and great-great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Crowson of Oklahoma City, Okla.

Funeral services for Mrs. Pool were held September 25 in Atoka, Okla. Burial was in Green Meadows Cemetery in Atoka, Okla.
