Gibsons welcome new baby girl

Hemphill

I want to wish everyone a belated happy New Year.

There has been so much going on that I hope I don’t leave anyone or anything out.

First, I would like to extend get well wishes to Frances Whitaker. We are praying that she can recover soon.

Also, I want to extend get well wishes to Norm Fleming, Robert Mullins, Jean Amburgey, Jack Sexton, Brooke Webb and Ty Collie.

I want to send belated birthday wishes to Chuck Meade, Allison Yonts Gibson, Irene Seals, Cheryl Ratliff , Tonya Breeding Short, Courtney Johnson, Autumn Boggs, Sabrina Johnson Whitaker, Dee Dee Johnson, Manis Blair, Tina Morton Sexton, Kim Adams Mullins, Makaylee Johnson and Dela Marie Caudill.

I am so sorry if I’ve left anyone out.

Happy anniversary wishes to Net and Jacky Potter of Hemphill.

Congratulations to Allison and Montana Gibson on the birth of their new baby, Madison. I think that she was born on Allison’s birthday, Jan. 12.

She is the granddaughter of Eugene and Lindy Yonts and Coleman and Lisa Gibson.

The Hemphill Community Center had its monthly meeting on Jan. 11. The weather was getting bad, so it did not last very long, but while there the committee voted to have South Mountain Boys come to the center once a month for the next year to play for Friday Night Bluegrass. East KY Tyme will be there every other Friday night, and a new band on the other Fridays. If you have any questions, please call Peggy Meade at 855-7424.

East KY Tyme performed at the community center this past Friday night and had a great turnout.

Ruby Combs and Hiram Collins will be getting married at the center this Friday night at bluegrass. Everyone is welcome to come join them on this joyous occasion.
