Girls sing National Anthem

The Arlie Boggs Elementary School Glee Club performed the National Anthem at a recent Lexington Legends baseball game. According to MacKensie Kvalvik, teacher and club sponsor, Arlie Boggs Elementary was selected to sing at Whitaker Banks Ballpark after an audio recording was sent in to the Legends, a Class A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals, for review.

“This was a such an honor for our school and truly an amazing experience for our young ladies,” said Kvalvik.

Freddie Terry, principal of the Eolia school, added, “This is just another great example of how we really are the little school that does big things. I couldn’t be more proud of our students or Ms. Kvalvik.”
