Glenn Michael ‘Mike’ Damron, 60, of Lynchburg, Va., died May 2.
A son of the late Doug and Jackie Rowlette Damron, he was a brother of the late Randy Damron and a son-in-law of the late Don Shannon.
An avid University of Kentucky sports fan, he was the administrator of Campbell County SVC & Authority and president of Virginia Water & Waste Association.
He was graduated from UK with a bachelor’s degree in mining, was a licensed professional civil engineer in Virginia and New Hampshire, and was a past chairman of Virginia Drinking Water Quality Commission.
He was a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers, and the Water Environment Federation & American Public Works Association.
Surviving are his wife, Cynthia Shannon Damron; two brothers, Rick Damron and wife Cynthia of Jenkins, and Shawn Damron and wife Jen of Billings, Mt.; two sisters, Betsy Addington and husband David of Jenkins, and Lisa Wiley and husband Billy of King, N.C.; his mother-in-law, Wilmagene R. Shannon of Lexington; a sister-in-law, Donna Shannon Elliott and husband Allan of Lexington; a brother-in-law, Steve Shannon and wife Sara of Buda, Tex.; niece Susan Gaines of Lexington; and friend Roy Foushee and wife Julie of Lexington.
Funeral services were held May 6 in Lynchburg, Virginia.
