TOURNAMENT CHAMPS — Letcher County Property Valuation Administrator Ricky Rose, Jarrod Stevens, and Derek Barto won the Whitesburg Rotary Club/Letcher County Chamber of Commerce Golf Scramble held June 14 at Raven Rock Golf Course at Jenkins. The team of three called itself “Rick Rose Letcher County PVA.” Money raised from the event is used to finance scholarships given each year by both clubs to deserving students. Corporate sponsors for the event were Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare and Community Trust Bank.

Finishing in third place in the Whitesburg Rotary Club/Letcher County Chamber of Commerce Golf Scramble consisted of, from left, Billy Long, Duran Sparkman, Chris Stewart and Joan Curry.
