Gov. Bevin will choose from 7 to fill PVA term



The exam given by the Revenue Cabinet last week was based on verbal and mathematical skills. There was no study guide.

The test had orgininally been scheduled for December 9, but was postponed.

Hall, of Cromona, died at age 63 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard after a long illness.

A son of the late Henry and Oma Hall, he was the widower of Jennifer Anderson Hall and a brother of the late Roy Kiser.

Mr. Hall served as the Letcher County PVA since 1988. Born in Letcher County, he was a graduate of Fleming-Neon High School and received an associate degree from Alice Lloyd College, and a bachelor of science degree from Pikeville College. He had been a certified Kentucky assessor since 1991, and a senior Kentucky assessor since 1993.

Surviving are two stepdaughters, Kathy Oday of Harrisburg, Penn., and Paula Lightner of Middletown, Penn.; two nieces, Denita Carter and Karen Kiser, and a number of grandchildren.
