Grand jury accuses 11 of not paying support



The Letcher Grand Jury has named 11 people in 13 indictments on charges of flagrant non support of their minor children.

Those named are:

• Bobbie Stamper, 33, of P.O. Box 253, 14444 Hwy. 1862, Neon, who is charged in three separate indictments. She is also charged in all three indictments with being a persistent felony offender (second degree).

• Wendy Branham, 36, of P.O. Box 148, Jackhorn. She is also charged with being a persistent felony offender (first degree).

• Billy Ray Brown Jr., 38, of 959 Hwy. 343, Neon. He is also charged with being a persistent felony offender (first degree).

• Elihue Mullins, 38, of 83 Golden Rod Drive, Thornton. He is also charged with being a persistent felony offender (first degree).

• Gregory Lee Smith, 33, of 460 Tom Biggs Road, McRoberts. He is also charged with being a persistent felony offender (first degree).

• William C. Bentley, 29, also known as William K. Bentley, of 673 Bentley Loop, Jenkins.

• Wilma L. Mullins, 32, of 500 Grissom Street, Columbia.

• Robert Oliver, 37, of 149 #3 Hill, Jenkins.

• Virginia Caudill, 45, of 72 Windstar Dr., Neon.

Regina Hurst of the Letcher County Division of Child Support Enforcement testified in the cases.

• April L. Sexton, 34, of 47 Blueberry Road, Ermine.

• Carolyn Slone, 31, of 633 Flint Field Branch, Linefork.

Monica Adams of the Letcher County Division of Child Support Enforcement testified in the cases.
