Grand jury indicts eight



The Letcher County Grand Jury has named a Jenkins man in drug charges in indictments handed up December 4 to Letcher Circuit Judge Sam Wright.

Lawrence Sexton, 55, of 41 Belaire, Dr., Jenkins, is charged with criminal complicity to traffi cking in a controlled substance (first degree), criminal complicity to trafficking in a controlled substance (second degree)), criminal complicity to trafficking in a controlled substance (third degree), criminal complicity to trafficking in synthetic drugs, criminal complicity to wanton endangerment (first degree) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The grand jury says Sexton acted with Russell Peaks on June 19 in trafficking in 10 or more units of Oxycontin, 20 or more units of Hydrocodone, 20 or more units of Xanax, and synthetic marijuana. He is also charged with possessing 600 individual packets of synthetic marijuana labeled “not for human consumption” with the intention of distributing them for consumption.

Others indicted by the grand jury are:

• Allison Danielle Rose, 34, of 1070 Ky. Hwy. 3400, Jenkins, is charged with driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/ or drugs with passengers under the age of 12, criminal possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of wanton endangerment.

The grand jury says on November 15, Rose drove a vehicle while under the influence with passengers under the age of 12 and while in possession of marijuana. She is also charged with endangering her eight-year-old and five-year-old children, who were passengers in the car.

• Robert James Martin — Criminal complicity to theft by unlawful taking.

Martin, 77, of 774 Pine Creek, Mayking, is accused of acting with Tonya Renae Bohrer also known as Tonya Renee Martin also known as Tonya Adams also known as Tonya Short also known as Tonya Collins in August in taking household appliances, antiques and other property valued at $500 or more belonging to Deborah Miranda Bradley.

• Tonya Renae Bohrer — Criminal complicity to theft by unlawful taking.

Tonya Renae Bohrer, 39, also known as Tonya Renee Martin also known as Tonya Adams also known as Tonya Short also known as Tonya Collins of 774 Pine Creek, Mayking, is accused of acting with Robert Martin in August in taking household appliances, antiques and other property valued at $500 or more belonging to Deborah Miranda Bradley.

• Daniel Adams — Criminal complicity to criminal mischief.

The grand jury says Adams, 34, of P.O. Box 140 Craft’s Colly Rd., Ermine, acted with Oscar Lynn McCown on Oct. 15 in damaging a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado LTZ pickup truck owned by Candace Combs and her spouse by keying the customized paint job of the truck.

• Oscar Lynn McCown — Criminal complicity to criminal mischief.

The grand jury says McCown, 38, of P.O. Box 610, Isom, acted with Daniel Adams on Oct. 15 in damaging a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado LTZ pickup truck owned by Candace Combs and her spouse by keying the customized paint job of the truck.

• Bryce Wilson Baker Jr. — Bail jumping and being a persistent felony offender.

The grand jury says Baker, 32, also known as “Bo”, of 352 Pine Creek Rd., Mayking, failed to appear for a pretrial conference in connection with a pending felony in Letcher Circuit Court on Nov. 25.

In a separate indictment, Baker is charged with failing to appear for pretrial conference in connection with a pending felony in Letcher Circuit Court on Nov. 25, and with being a persistent felony offender.

• Amanda Mullins Johnson — bail jumping.

Johnson, 38, also known as Amanda Mullins, of 58 Hatfield Dr., Whitesburg, failed to appear at a hearing in connection with a pending felony in Letcher Circuit Court on Nov. 25.
