Grand jury says woman, 42, stole from adult patient



A former employee of a Jenkins facility has been indicted on a charge of exploitation of an adult (more than $300).

The Letcher County Grand Jury indicted Robin Thomas, 42, of 2374 Highway 2035, Whitesburg, on May 17.

Thomas was an administrator of the TR Center in Jenkins, which is owned by Kentucky River Community Care. She allegedly had access to the finances of the adult.

Those who testified before the grand jury are Benny Fleming, Cabinet for Health and Family Services; Kentucky State Police Det. Crandall Hurt; Billianne Withers, KSP; Michael Kadish, Kentucky River Community Care; Sheila Allen, Kentucky River Community Care; and Christa White, Go-Hire Development and Employment.

The case is being prosecuted by the special investigations of the Kentucky Office of the Attorney General.
