The City of Whitesburg has received funding through the Appalachian Regional Commission’s Flex-E-Grant (FEG) Program to create a design for a permanent structure for Letcher County Farmers Market. This grant, administered through Brushy Fork Institute at Berea College, will fund the cost to design the structure. Once the design process is completed, Letcher County Farmers Market will apply for more funding to build the structure.
The grant proposal was written by Jill Hatch.
Before creating a design for the structure, Whitesburg Architect Bill Richardson will gather input from market growers and customers.
