Lester Little, 93, died February 3 at his home in McRoberts.
Born in Pike County to the late Sherwood and Madonna Anderson Little, he was the widower of Genevieve Little.
Mr. Little worked as a salesman at Reynolds Furniture, and was a forest warden in Pike County.
He was a coalminer and carpenter, helping build bridges and buildings in McRoberts, Neon, Burdine and Jenkins Middle High School.
He was also involved in building the Neon A&P, several churches and many homes in the community.
Mr. Little enjoyed turkey hunting, fishing and working in his garden.
Surviving are four sons, Keith Little and wife Bonnie, Edward Little and wife Brenda, Stuart Little and wife Janet, and Les Little, all of McRoberts; three daughters, Kathy Hagy and husband Cliff of Clendenin, W.Va., Carolene Childers and husband Jackie, and Colleen Franklin and husband Carl, all of McRoberts; seven sisters, Anna Sparks, Billie Jean Fleming, Deborah White, Deeda Tilly, and Mildred Mullins, all of McRoberts, Rose Mary Collins of Lenoir, N.C., and Irene Seahorne of Florida; two brothers, Freddie Little of Lexington and Jack Little of South Carolina; 21 grandchildren, 23 greatgrandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by six sisters, Annalene Johnson, Myrtle Bartley, Linda Bullion, Barbra Cantrell, Shelby Mullins and Sherrie Brown, and two brothers, David Little and Ralph Little.
Graveside services were held Saturday, February 6, at Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine.
Everidge Funeral Home of Whitesburg had charge of arrangements.
