Grayson Tackett dies at 70



Funeral services for Grayson “Fuzzy” Tackett, 70, of Bowling Green, were held March 27 in Jenkins. Burial was in the Leitha Ray Tackett Cemetery at Burdine.

Born in Jenkins to the late Frank Harvey and Leitha Ray Tackett, he died March 24 at Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green.

He was a brother of the late Lexie Ambrose, Grant Tackett, Billy Tackett, Donald “Arnold” Ray Tackett, Thurman “Jay Bird” McKinley Tackett, Patricia Lou Persinge, and infant Harvey Tackett.

He was graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a bachelor of science in business administration, and was employed at the Case Equipment Dealership.

He had also worked in construction for many years as a master plumber.

Surviving are his wife, Linda Tackett; two sons, Brian Tackett and wife Robbie of Troy, Mt., and Tyrone Tackett, of Dade City, Fla.; six grandchildren, Grayson Tackett, Greta Tackett, Grace Tackett, Tucker Tackett, Ava Tackett and Titus Tackett; and five siblings, Dorsey Smallwood, of Lexington, Selena Sue Gilbert of London, Mary Nell Frasier, of Marion, Oh., Jack Tackett, of Hendersonville, N.C., and James “Chum” F. Tackett and wife Jeane of Jenkins.
