Greta Wilson dies at 72



Greta Sharon Wilson, 72, died November 6 at her home in Greenville, S.C.

A daughter of the late Woodrow Wilson and Addie Levirt Atkinson Wilson, she was a sister of the late Patricia Dennie and Shannon Wilson.

She was also preceded in death by a friend of more than 60 years, Sammy Miller.

Ms. Wilson was an avid reader, and enjoyed her family and grandchildren.

Surviving are three daughters Teresa Sharon Richards and husband Steve of Clemmons, N.C., Melissa Ann Stamper and John Smith of Whitesburg, and Elizabeth Greta Williams of Greenville, S.C.; a sister, Kathleen Barbee and husband Robert of Simpsonville, S.C.; three granddaughters, Shaneilya Elizabeth Collier and Kayleah Williams both of Greenville, S.C., and Melanie Rose Miller of Bean Station, Tenn.; and three great-grandchildren.

In accord with her wishes, there will be a private family service at a later date. The family asks in lieu of flower donations be made to Gateway House of Greenville, S.C.
