Funeral services for Gwendolyn Watts Adcock, 69, of Louisville, were held May 3 in Middletown. Burial was May 4 at the Caudill Cemetery at Red Star.
She died April 30 at the Episcopal Church Home.
A native of Letcher County, she received a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown College in 1964 and a master’s degree from Webster University in 1987.
She was employed for 28 years by the Jefferson County Public Schools as a math teacher at Durrett High School and an It administrator, retiring as director of Management information Services. She had also worked for Honeywell as an IT specialist.
She was preceded in death by Paul Stevenson.
Surviving are a daughter, Allison Adcock-Melgosa and husband Val; a son, Steve Adcock and wife Caroline; three grandchildren, Alaina, Lily and Ian; and two sisters, Barbara Collins and Kay Breeding and husband Phillip.
Letcher Funeral Home of Whitesburg had charge of local arrangements.
