Hail storm on Cowan put dings on car

Hello friends, neighbors, family and all those who are far off. Hoping everyone is surviving the cold weather that goes along with these little winters.

Boy, what hail we had late Saturday night. My front porch and yard looked like an ice storm had hit, plus the hood of my car has several dings on it. A trip to the insurance company, probably. Sure did scare my little dogs with all that noise.

Eugene Day is out of the hospital for now. Keep him in prayer. Grant Fields is home and still needs prayer.

Melinda “Kay-Kay” Daniel went back into the hospital on Sunday morning. She got transferred to Pikeville Medical Center, and then died at 3:30 p.m.

Big Cowan

Also, Charles Hammonds has blood pressure problems.

Happy birthday to Linda (Herb) Fields on May 2; Agnes Maggard will be 65 on May 5; Frank Fields from Neon on May 7; Thomas Wolfe and Rev. Glenn Seaman, both on May 10; Charles Large on May 13; and Mary Jacobs on May 12. May they all have a great day.

In memory, David Dobson would have been 54 on May 1; Nova Lee Sexton Fields died four years ago on May 9, she was married to my dad’s brother, the late Benton Fields; Bill King died three years ago, and Eunice Hall died three years ago, both on May 13.

Sorry I did not make it to church Sunday morning, but Aiden Fields, a son of Candy and Travis Fields, was supposed to get baptized. Praise the Lord. Wish I could have been there.

Bro. Charles Large and Bro. Bug Yonts both need our prayers. Bro. Charles lives in Virginia and Bro. Bug lives in Tennessee. Both have medical issues.

Also remember Bro. Tim Amburgey and my pastor, Bro. Frank and Sister Jeanne Adams.

Seems like Satan is trying to destroy everyone’s health. So many to pray for.

Also, Bro. Eddie Wolfe and Kathy Wolfe, Archie and Margaret Fields, Cora Sturgill, Irene Day, Tony Maggard, Elmo Day, Ken Trent, Della Maggard, Melanie Combs, and if there is anyone I forgot, God knows who they are and will meet their need.

Well folks, got to go. Too sad to write anymore.

Keep Mike and Melinda’s dad, Brack Sexton, in prayer. The funeral will be some time this week.

Freewill Baptist Church will be having a hot dog dinner for $5. Eat in or carry out. They want everyone to come.
