Hall of Fame artists rock Pikeville arena


Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Alice Cooper (above, center) and Ace Frehley (below, right) peformed a crowdpleasing show at Appalachian Wireless Arena in Pikeville Oct. 5. Cooper’s set was heavy on longtime favorites such as “I’m Eighteen,” “No More Mr. Nice Guy,” “Poison,” and “Under My Wheels,” and “Billion Dollar Babies,” but also included live versions from his critically acclaimed new album Detroit Stories. Frehley’s opening set featured songs he performed with the band he helped found in the 1970s, KISS. Among them were “Parasite,” “Strutter,” “Detroit Rock City,” “Cold Gin,” and “Deuce.” Frehley also covered Led Zeppelin.
