Kentucky State Police say troopers fatally shot an armed robbery suspect after an hours-long standoff.
Troopers responded to an armed robbery call at a Dollar General store in Harlan County on Friday (May 9). Authorities say warrants were issued for the arrest of Neil Saylor, who was suspected of brandishing a gun and demanding money.
Authorities said Saylor had a handgun on him when he was found by troopers, but he refused to drop the weapon.
After a standoff that lasted several hours, Saylor allegedly became aggressive toward troopers. Authorities say troopers then fatally shot Saylor.
