Helen Bentley wins afghan

There was a mistake in the printing of my news last week. Coleen Hart did not win blue ribbons for the painting, she won her six blue ribbons on different items she entered in the arts and crafts at Hazard.

Flo Mahew won blue ribbons for the painting of her granddaughter. Sorry about the mistake.

Our senior citizen Gracie Wynn is in Pikeville Hospital recovering from heart surgery. Hurry and get well, Gracie. We miss you.

Leroy Sexton, another one of us, has been very sick, but is now back at the center. Glad you’re back, Leroy.

Another one of our group has moved to Georgia. She is Ruby June Caudill. Sorry you’ve left us, Ruby.

Helen Bentley won the afghan we took donations on for the Relay for Life. It was donated by Lizzie M. Wright.

Congratulations to Boone Fork Senior Citizens for winning the Relay for Life contest the centers had.

We’re looking forward to going next week to the Senior Games. We have lots of fun; come and join us.

God bless until next time.
