The registration dates for Letcher County Central High School are July 23, 8:30- 11 a.m., seniors last name A-C; July 23, 12:30- 3 p.m. seniors last name D-H; July 24, 8:30-11 a.m., seniors last name I-N; July 24, 12:30-3 p.m., seniors last name 0-S; July 25, 8:30- 11:00 a.m., seniors last name T-Z; July 26, 8:30-11 a.m., juniors; July 26, 12:30- 3 p.m., sophomores.
On July 27, freshman orientation will be held from 8:30 to noon. Buses will run on the main roads on July 27 only. All freshmen should to plan to be at the school all morning as tours are conducted, pictures are taken, schedules distributed and information given. In addition the free breakfast and lunch program that is offered to all students enrolled in Letcher County Public Schools this year will be explained.
Students are asked to attend on their designated dates to pick up schedules, receive locker assignments, purchase parking permits, and have their picture taken for the yearbook.
Locker rental will be $5 each and can be purchased during registration or after school begins.
Parking permits may be purchased for $10 if the student has all passing grades for the previous 9 weeks. If a student had one or more failing grades the previous 9-weeks grading period, a parking permit may be purchased for $50. A parent’s signature is required on applications.
Underclass pictures are pre-pay at the time pictures are taken. Package envelopes will be available at the high school on the day pictures are taken. Package prices range between $15 and $69.
Seniors will have a $30 sitting fee. They will have a variety of poses taken including cap and gown pictures and may change clothes between shots. Seniors may begin taking pictures at 8 a.m.
