Hello again. Hope you are all doing well.
It’s so good to see how pretty everything is looking. Trees are blooming and flowers are looking like springtime. I love this time of year.
Belated birthday wishes to my brother Hillard Howard on April 2. I called him in Florida.
His daughter Hillary Booker and her family were visiting him. He was having a good day — especially with his grandchildren Jewel and Harrison.
Also, Bro. Bruce Gilley had a birthday on April 1. I tried to call and tell him happy birthday, but I couldn’t reach him, he was talking.
Grace Short had a birthday on April 4. She is such a sweet little lady.
It was good seeing Bob Caudill. I hadn’t seen him in a long time. He was visiting Jenetta Howard in rehab, and other friends.
Kathy Palumbo visited with Louise Shepherd the other day. We all love Kathy!
My sister Louise and I ate dinner with our nephew Jerome Hatton and his wife on Easter Sunday and it was delicious! We sure enjoyed our visit. I fell in love with their baby, Cooper. He is so cute.
I was sorry to hear of the death of Garnett Ruth (Adams) Webb. I knew her a long time ago. What I remembered most about her was that she was so pretty!
My son Larry and wife Linda have been at the lake for a couple of days, and of course they had a good time. They had a large mudslide at the back of their house and they had two men come and clean it up. They did a great job of it! They sure worked hard. It was a big job.
My brother John and I enjoyed church at Pine Creek on Friday night. It was good seeing everyone and the preacher, Bro. Jeff Slone, preached real good. That was the first time I heard him. Everyone was so nice and friendly.
I went to Cowan Community Center on Saturday for storytelling and enjoyed every minute of it. It was so funny, everyone telling their stories. There were Virginia Brown, Doris Banks, Nell Fields, R.C. Day, Kendall and Carol Ann Ison. I can’t remember the names of the rest of them.
The lady who was having it was ‘Angie.’ I didn’t get her last name. The others I have known for a long time.
We will be having it again next Saturday, April13, at 11 a.m. Everyone is invited to come. I know you will enjoy it. I sure plan on going. I recommend it.
My brother Hubert Howard and wife Joyce and my brother John all spent a few days at the lake. They are back home now. They enjoyed themselves.
Our church had a yard sale over the weekend. I heard it went good. I didn’t get to go.
My son Bill and wife Sandra and I had breakfast at Pine Mountain Grill on Saturday. We saw Maggie Cook and a lot of her family there. Her daughter Carol of Michigan was there and Lucky Sexton and a lot more. They were enjoying themselves.
My brother John and I went to Pine Creek on Saturday night to hear our cousin, Bro. Cecil Howard, preach. He preached real good. We took S.T. Wright and his friend with us.
We sure enjoyed hearing Bro. Eli Smith and Ted Amburgey singing and seeing a lot of our friends there.
John and I went to Double Kwik at Isom and ate a chicken dinner, then went to see our sister-in-law, Jenetta Howard, in rehab. She was looking real good as usual, and feeling pretty good. I think she has about four weeks left and is looking forward to coming home. She said she had been having lots of company, and was glad of it.
I’m sure everyone is enjoying this beautiful weather. A lot of our people have been sick, and I hope they will all get better now and get their gardens going and all their grass cut.
I’ve got some outside work I need to be doing. I need to clean up my car when I get in the mood for it. I’m not very industrial!
May God bless all of you. Try to be in church somewhere this week if you are able.
