History of Eulah Miller

Kingscreek

This has been a very quiet week due to the loss of a beloved lady on the creek. Barbara Huff was kin to several of our ladies, and a neighbor to the rest. She came to the center when her health allowed her to. She will be missed by a lot of people.

I’m adding a little history to the column, the history of one of our ladies. Since she was our Queen, who better to start with than Eulah Ann (Roark) Miller.

Eulah was born and raised on Kingscreek and went to elementary school there and Kingdom High School. She had two favorite teachers, Rena Gail Boggs, who helped her understand fractions, and Carl Boggs, who was just a wonderful teacher.

School was a lot different then with arithmetic matches, spelling bees, and playing on the playground.

Eula raised her family on Kingscreek. Her children were: Ralph Kenin Miller (Delena) and one granddaughter, Mallory age 8. Bonita Adams (Mickey) with three grandchildren here, Chase 21, Brooke 22, and Megan 19, and Megan’s girl Stevi Sanders. Michael Miller (Leslie) with McKenzie, 13, and Luke 5.

She loves all of her children and grandchildren, and especially that greatgrandchild.

Eula loves flowers, crafting, quilting, sewing and her animals. She is wonderful to talk to. I have enjoyed getting to know her at the center.

Get to know your neighbors; it’s fun and a great way to expand your own horizons. You never know what you will learn from another person.

Until next week, keep on smiling.
