Hello everyone, hope you are all doing well and keeping warm. That’s what I’ve been doing sometimes. I get cold in summer, so I turn up my heat.
Beau and wife Lauren are back from their honeymoon. I’m glad they are living close to us. We are one big family here. We don’t see each other much because of jobs and we are glad for jobs. So many people don’t have jobs and we hope there will be more jobs.
I enjoyed having lunch with my brother Hubert and his wife Joyce.
Rose Ballard, I’m sorry I missed seeing you. I don’t know where I was, maybe church. I wish you had got those tomatoes. I put them there hoping someone would get them. I cut my plants and kept the tomatoes and I think they are still on that table, ready to be thrown away.
We are getting ready for our Howard reunion at Cowan Senior Citizens on Dec. 17 and we will surely be missing the ones we lost this year and will be thinking of them. I’m sure they would want us to have it. I hope the weather will be good. Some of them have a long way to come.
We had some snow flurries this morning, but it’s gone away and I hope it doesn’t come back ‘til after Christmas. There have been so many wrecks on the highway and a lot of people will be on the roads.
I had a nice little visit with my next-door neighbor yesterday, Beau’s wife. I hadn’t had a chance to see her much since their wedding. She will fit right in with all of us. She’s really friendly.
I want to tell Shelby Jean Feltner I saw her on television Saturday night singing with their group Heaven’s Jubilee and sounding good. She used to go to our church, but she got sick and had to move away and lives with her daughter who sings with the group. Her brother Larry Miller and his family still come to our church and we all love them.
One of our special ladies had heart surgery in Lexington. Sister Vickie Standifer, all of our church have been praying for you and we are so pleased you are doing well. Just hurry and get back to church. We have all been missing you.
It’s such a pretty day today, no frost, no snow, but cold. I hope the weather will be good next weekend for our Howard family Christmas party. They are scattered all over the place, but not me. I’ve settled down and love it here and I have a lot of family here also and I’m glad.
I hear from my sister Joanne Brown in Indiana in every day and I look forward to it. She works every day.
My news will be short this week, but it’s not my fault. You didn’t get me your news. I haven’t heard from anyone this week. I know everyone is busy this time of year, spending all your money for Christmas and enjoying it.
May God bless all of you. Try to be in church somewhere if you are able.
