Ina Campbell, 92, of Blackey, died August 30 Hazard ARH Medical Center.
She was a daughter of the late Siah and Nancy Fields Cornett.
Mrs. Campbell worked at Quillen’s Drug Store for 35 years until its closing, doing what she loved, cooking for everyone. Her favorite pastime was sitting on her porch feeding and watching the deer in her yard.
Surviving are three daughters, Dalna Whitaker of Nancy, Delana Lark and husband Eddie and Virginia Day and husband Francis, all of Cowan; three sons, Don Reed Campbell and wife Debbie of Lexington, Harvey B. Campbell and wife Vicki of Blackey, and Hagel Jr. Campbell and wife Renee of Jeremiah; 11 grandchildren, Shawn, Shane, Shiloh, Autumn, Eric, Cole, Emily, Cassidy, Josh, Samantha and Becky; 23 great-grandchildren; Sadie Reynolds, whom she loved like a daughter; a special nephew, Lavene Jones; and caregivers, Lou Ada and Vada Rogers.
Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Hagel Campbell Sr.; a son, Danny “Hoot” Campbell; two granddaughters, Heather Day and Edron Campbell; eight sisters, Hermie, Callie, Una, Annie, Corey, Irene, Georgie Mae and Lolavae; and a brother, Ira Cornett.
Funeral services were held September 3 at Letcher Funeral Home. Burial was in Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine.
