Indictments charge 3 with committing felony crimes here



Three persons are named in the most recent felony indictments returned by the Letcher County Grand Jury.

Those indicted are:

• Denny Riddle — receiving stolen property, failure to maintain liability insurance, no/expired registration plates, no/expired registration, improper registration, and failure to transfer registration.

Riddle, 45, of Slemp, is charged with possessing a Ford pickup truck on Sept. 17, 2009, that had been listed as stolen in the FBI’s National Crime Information Center.

Neon Police Officer Tim Miller testified in the case.

• Derrick Allen Collins — complicity to theft.

The grand jury says Collins, 29, of Whitesburg, acted alone or in complicity with Ricky Collins, Jennifer Lee, and Lora Collins in taking items valued at $1,000 from the Whitesburg Walmart on Dec. 18.

Whitesburg Police Sgt. Tyrone Fields testified in the case.

• Ricky Collins — complicity to theft.

Collins, 39, of Whitesburg, is accused of acting alone or in complicity with Derrick Collins, Jennifer Lee, and Lora Collins in taking items valued at $1,000 from the Whitesburg Walmart on Dec. 18.

Whitesburg Police Sgt. Tyrone Fields testified in the case.
