Information on autos, legal forms offered




The Harry M. Caudill Memorial Library and its branches have added new electronic databases covering auto repair and maintenance and legal forms to the library collection. The databases, Chilton Library.com and Legalforms, are now available to anyone with a computer with Internet capabilities by visiting the library’s website at www.lcld.org.

When it comes to auto repairs, do-it-yourselfers and automotive students have trust Chilton references for years. Chilton provides information on repairs, maintenance, and service on cars, trucks, vans and sports utility vehicles.

Legalforms gives access to thousands of legal documents which can be customized.

The Letcher County Public Libraries have a year’s subscription to these databases from Thompson Gale.

Another online database offered by the library is Learningexpress, which provides practice tests and reviews for various test including the SAT, GED, ACT, Civil Services Exam, Cosmetology, EMS, Firefighter, Law Enforcement, ASVAB, Real Estate, U.S. Citizenship, and Adult Basic Skills.

Access to these sites is free at the library’s website at www.lcld.org or at any of the libraries. For more information, call the Harry M. Caudill Memorial Library in Whitesburg at 633-7547, the Blackey Public Library at 633-4013, the Jenkins Public Library at 832-4101, or the Lillian Webb Memorial Library in Neon at 855-7913. A password is required to access these databases and the library will furnish it to its patrons.
