Iris Combs Campbell, 90, died April 25 at her home.
Born in Wolfe County to the late William H. and Nola Cole Combs, she was the widow of Asbel “Bob” Campbell.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Georgetown, a former employee of the Bank of Whitesburg, and a member of Homemakers and Gibson Girls of Georgetown.
She was an excellent seamstress, an avid gardener, and loved music.
Surviving are a son, Craig Campbell and wife Phyllis of Georgetown; a daughter, Vanessa Campbell and Elizabeth, of Ann Arbor, Mich.; two grandchildren, Nathan Campbell and wife Marsha, and Jason Campbell and wife Amy; six greatgrandchildren, Brooklyn and Wesley Wilburn, Payton and Carter Campbell, Laurianna Campbell, and Ladaylen Letton; and six siblings, Ina Hunsucker and Bill Combs Jr., both of Ft. Myers, Fla., Nona Polly of Lexington, Richard Combs of West Hills, Calif., Nadine Ison of Las Vegas, Nev., and Brenda Stallard of Ft. Worth, Tex .
Funeral services for Mrs. Campbell were held April 29 at First United Methodist Church. Burial was in the Georgetown Cemetery.
The family has chosen Hospice of the Bluegrass, 1317 U.S. Highway 62E, Cynthiana, KY 41031-7970, and First United Methodist Church, 1280 Lexington Road, Georgetown, KY 40324, for their options in lieu of flowers.
