Isom woman is charged with 15 thefts by grand jury



An Isom woman has been charged in 15 indictments reported out by the Letcher Grand Jury on May 13.

Megan Rena Adams Brock, 30, of 202 Low Gap Branch Road, is accused in the indictments of cashing checks on the account of Jeanette Adams at Community Trust Bank. She is also charged with being a persistent felony offender in each indictment.

The dates of the charges range from November 21 to December 30 and include:

• Cashed a check drawn on the account of Jeannette Adams at Com- munity Trust Bank for $220, November 21.

• Cashed a check drawn on the account of Jeannette Adams at Community Trust Bank for $180, November 28.

• Cashed checks drawn on the account of Jeannette Adams at Community Trust Bank for $100 and $135, December 1.

• Used a check drawn on the account of Jeannette Adams for $15 at Isom Double Kwik, December 2.

• Cashed a check drawn on the account of Jeannette Adams at Community Trust Bank for $65, December 4.

• Cashed checks drawn on the account of Jeannette Adams at Community Trust Bank for $135 and $135, December 5.

• Used a check drawn on the account of Jeannette Adams for $101.78 at Whitesburg Walmart, December 8.

• Used checks drawn on the account of Jeannette Adams at Dry Fork Double Kwik for $17.17 and at Whitesburg Walmart for $102.80 and cashed a check at Community Trust Bank for $80, December 9.

• Cashed a check drawn on the account of Jeannette Adams at Community Trust Bank for $90, December 11.

• Cashed a check drawn on the account of Jeannette Adams at Community Trust Bank for $225, December 12.

• Used a check drawn on the account of Jeannette Adams at Whitesburg Walmart for $204.11, acting in complicity with Clark Victor Brock, December 15.

• Used checks drawn on the account of Jeannette Adams at Whitesburg Walmart for $25 and $300, December 16.

• Used checks drawn on the account of Jeannette Adams at Whitesburg Walmart for $50, $100 and $205.10, December 22.

• Cashed a check drawn on the account of Jeannette Adams at Community Trust Bank for $100, acting in complicity with Clark Victor Brock, December 23.

• Burglary (third degree) — remained in the parked automobile of Jeanette Adams with intent to commit theft, December 30.

Clark Victor Brock, 30 of 202 Low Gap Branch Road, Isom, was also indicted on charges of criminal possession of a forged instrument, criminal complicity to theft and being a persistent felony offender.

The grand jury says he cashed a check for $100 drawn on the account of Jeanette Adams at Community Trust Bank on December 23.

Letcher County Lt. Burt Slone, Letcher County Deputy Eugene Slone and Jeanette Adams testified in the cases.
