Hello everyone!

How is everything in your little corner of this huge universe? I hear the mountains are coming alive with vibrant colors of spring as the redbuds and dogwoods are showing their beautiful colors along with daffodils and tulips.

Oh yes, my heart is tugging at my feet to head for the mountains I love so much.

In this area once again it is as if you went to sleep at night, then woke up to everything so green and the flowers blooming.

Les and Pat Wagner spent a few days with their family in the Pine Creek or Cram Creek area. Once again they had a death in the family.

Southern Ohio

Pat Wagner was raised in Ohio, but she did have family from the Hot Spot area (Premium). Pat has more hillbilly in her than anyone I know, even if she was born a buckeye.

Pat has a love for the mountains and love for the family that she married into and is loved as much from the family.

Everyone should be so lucky, as I have witnessed first hand the true love that is shown by several members of this family.

Now I have buttered up Les, maybe he will share tomatoes with me, as his cousin Don Wagner lives too far.

I sowed a pack of lettuce in my flowerpot on the back deck, and it is coming up. Now I want to find a few onion sets and put them in some pots too.

I wish I was able to raise a garden again, but I do believe those days are over for me.

I’m still trying to figure out something to trade Ricky Caudill for shucky beans, oh well I will think of something before summer is over.

Ricky has been really sick for a week or so, but he is a typical man and doesn’t take care of himself, especially when he rides that four-wheeler out of necessity as much as pleasure.

If I lived closer, we sure would be the talk of Johnson Fork as I would be spending time on Ricky’s mountain helping in the garden, and riding behind him on the four-wheeler.

Doyle and Betty Ison are still not back to full speed yet. Both have been very sick most of the winter.

I really hope how quick Doyle and Betty are feeling well enough to get out and about.

Sunday was Old Time Fiddlers, and once again a good crowd was in attendance, which really pleases me.

Lenny Kuntz won split the pot last month and donated it back to the club, and I’ll be darned if Lenny didn’t win again this time. He donated it back again.

I haven’t talked to Johnny and Ann Calihan this week, so I hope they are doing alright.

Once again I am running late so I guess I better get this on its way.

Until next time, get out and enjoy this beautiful weather.
