It’s time for dryland fish

Big Cowan

Well, two more deaths on Cowan this past week. Michael Boggs, son of Carolyn and Les Boggs, and then Lloyd Adams died. He was the brother of Charles Adams of Thornton.

Death knows no age, and it takes the young as well as the old. Our sympathies go out to both families.

Eugene Day will have a birthday on April 29. Have a good one.

A late happy birthday to Linda and Brack Sexton’s granddaughter, Delilah Shae Colts. She is one year old. I hope she enjoyed her birthday.

The benefit singing at Freewill Baptist Church was fair this past weekend, and dinner was served and enjoyed by all in attendance.

Wayne and Tammy Turner’s daughter, her husband and two granddaughters are in from Texas. Her husband will be going back to Iraq in August. Keep him and all of the other soldiers in your prayers.

Our community really needs everyone’s prayers. It is in such a mess!

I guess it is dryland fish time. My brother, Archie, usually finds a lot. Hopefully I can get a few to try. I haven’t had any since I was younger. I’ve forgotten what they taste like, or even look like.

I just received word from Indiana that Brother Randall Parks died April 5. He was a member of the Dupont Old Regular Baptist Church. He was a brother to Jean Cox Cook. He lived in Michigan for several years, then moved to Osgood, Ind.

My sympathy goes to his wife, Patty, and his children and sister, Jean. We love all of you.

Burdene Gilley of Columbus, Ind., is getting worse with his Alzheimer’s. Keep Virginia Ann in your prayers. My cousin, Agnes Maggard, also needs our prayers.

Irene Day needs our prayers as she has pain all of the time in her neck and back.

Until next week, attend the church of your choice. Call someone and tell them you’re thinking about them.
