James Adams dies

James Everett Adams, 71, died November 1 at his home in Madisonville, Tenn.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the Church of Life, and owner and operator of Garden Path Health Food and Christian Bookstore.

A son of the late John Quincy and Margaret Caudill Adams, he was the father of the late John Kevin Adams, grandfather of the late Bradley Richard Adams, and a brother of the late Larry Keith Adams and Bill Adams.

He was married to the late Norma Adams and after her death married Patricia Adams, who survives him. Also surviving are three sons, Craig Adams and wife Carrie, Tellico Plains, Tenn.; Guy Adams, Madisonville, Tenn.; and Randy Adams, Lakeland, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Kelly Worley and husband Alan, Madisonville, Tenn., and Cindy Kirkland and husband Tony, Vonore, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and three sisters, Anna Huff and husband Orville, and Karen and Arnold Roberts and husband Arnold, all of Kendallville, Ind., and Hazel Owsley, Vest.
