James J. ‘Jack’ Murphy, 78, died August 12 in Akron, Ohio.
Born in Pardee, Va., he was graduated from Fleming Neon High School.
He relocated to Dayton, Oh., where he was a master pattern maker, and a member of the Hartville Church of Christ.
He is survived by two daughters, Jeffa Turner and husband Lewis, and Shawn Holmes and husband B.J.; five grandsons Troy Turner and wife Jeana, Ty Turner, Timothy Turner and wife Jessi, Garrett Holmes and Chad Holmes; and a brother, Ray Murphy and wife Myrna of Colorado.
