James Webb Sr. dies in Louisville



James Elmon Webb Sr., 79, of Elizabethtown, died October 26 at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville.

Born at Ermine, he was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Radcliff and was retired after 20 years in the U.S. Air Force where he served during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was also retired from Kerr Mc- Gee Coal Corp. in Gillette, W.Va.

Surviving are his wife, Virginia Ester Norlin Webb; two sons, James E. Webb Jr. and wife Lana of Gillette, W.Va., and Paul J. Webb and wife Clorie of Surprise, Ariz.; two daughters, Vonda F. Webb, Elizabethtown, and Marinda L. Ireland and husband Mike of Nashville, Tenn.; and three grandchildren, Zachary Webb, Erika Webb and Conor James Ireland.

Funeral services were held October 30 at Bible Baptist Church in Radcliff.
