Janice Cornett dies at 80

Janice Jewell Caudill Cornett, 80, died in Bowling Green on April 13.

Born at Mayking, she was a daughter of the late Arlin and Verna Caudill. She was first married to Rufus Fugate, and they had five children.

Mrs. Cornett was a member of the East Dayton Baptist Church in Dayton, Ohio, and a former member of the Holiness Church of Mayking.

Surviving are her husband, Mountain Eagle writer Jim Cornett of Burnside; a brother, Bobby Cau- dill of Jeffersonville, Ind.; a sister, Sheila Swisher of Whitesburg; two sons, Keith Fugate and Jeff Fugate, both of Mayking; a daughter, Kaye Stamper of Mayking; six grandchildren, and nine greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Rufus; a son, Michael; a daughter, Gwen; and a granddaughter, Janalyn.

Funeral services were held at Southern Oaks Funeral Home in Somerset, on Tuesday, April 16. Cremation has been chosen.
