Jean Tucker Berry, 81, of Ironton, died September 18 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
Born in Letcher County to the late Garrett Hobart Alexander and Lieu Emma McKenzie Tucker, she was the widow of Robert William Berry Sr. She was the mother of the late Robert William Berry Jr. and Donald Lee Berry.
She had worked at Wilson’s Sporting Goods and the Ironton High School Library. She was also a Red Cross volunteer for many years.
She is survived by a sister, Lillian Irene Tucker and Bernard Brassard, of Waynesboro, Va.; a sisterin law, Peggy Tucker Greer; two sons, David Alan Berry and wife Mary Ann Goldstein of San Francisco, Calif., and Charles Franklin Berry and Deborah Kay Winstead of Chapel Hill, N.C.; three grandsons, Samuel Isaak Berry and Jacob Elliott, both of San Francisco, Calif., and Benjamin Gabriel Berry of Chapel Hill, N.C..
Graveside services were held at Woodland Cemetery.
