Chad Fleming scored 18 points, John Fleming added 17 points, and Jahkaya Templier contributed 16 points to help the Jenkins Cavaliers to a 72 to 69 victory over Jackson City. It was the Cavaliers’ (1-9) first victory of the 2018-19 basketball season.
Chad Fleming scored all of his points on nine two-point field goals while John Fleming connected on four three-point field goals and five points from the free-throw stripe. Templier hit six two-point field goals and four free throws.
Payton Rose scored 10 points for Jenkins, Ethan Cummings added nine points, and Anthony Newman contributed two points.
The Cavaliers, coached by Corey Hairston, were to host Pike County Central on Wednesday night and East Ridge High on Saturday night before traveling to Prestonsburg on January 8.
