Jenkins gets 4G

By expanding its 4G LTE network in the City of Jenkins, AT&T is providing more customers with the latest generation of wireless network technology, said Cathy Lewandowski, senior public relations manager of AT&T Strategic Communications.

“High speed broadband is essential to operations on the job and activities at home, and the expansion of 4G LTE in Letcher is key to bringing in future investment and providing our residents with the tools they need to be successful,” said State Senator Johnny Ray Turner. “In addition, when investments – like highspeed Internet expansions – are made in our rural communities, they help pave the way for high paying jobs in our 21st century economy.”

Amy Scarborough, AT&T’s regional director of external affairs, said AT&T is making robust investments in Kentucky to make sure that residents can take full advantage of the latest services and tools, and that businesses have the speed they need to compete and grow.

“As part of the Jenkins community, we’re always looking for new opportunities to provide high-speed Internet accessibility, and our continuing investment in our 4G LTE network in Kentucky is another way we’re accomplishing that,” said Scarborough.
