Makala Stambaugh, a 17-year-old senior at Jenkins High School, was a winner of an All A scholarship for 2020-2021.
The Kentucky All ‘A’ Classic gives these $1,000 scholarships to seniors in Kentucky’s small high schools who will be continuing their education at a post-secondary school in fall of 2021.
Stambaugh completed her application, an essay, and interview before she found out she won the scholarship, $1,000 to use at the college of her choice. She plans to attend college and major in Developmental Psychology next fall. She wants to attend medical school and become a psychiatrist, working with children who have spectrum disorders.
She is the daughter of Victor and Melinda Jones and the late Warren Stambaugh of Jenkins.
