Funeral services for Jennifer Sergent Collier, 52, of Neon, were held September 10 at Seco Freewill Baptist Church. . Burial was in Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine.
She died September 6 at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital.
A daughter of Bernease Sergent of McRoberts and the late Estil Sergent, she was formerly a deputy clerk for the Letcher County Circuit Court, and recently had been assisting her husband with his business, A-Jack Paving Company.
She was a member of the Millstone Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and assisted with the children’s church, and was serving as a first-year member of the Board of Directors of Mountain Comprehensive Health Corporation.
Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband, Jack Collier; two daughters, Jennine Brown and husband Ed of Richmond, and Rhea Collier of Lexington; two sisters, Mona Daylong of McRoberts, and Denise Sergent, Lexington; a brother, Lloyd Sergent, Dahlonega, Ga.; and three grandchildren, Madison, Mia and Adalyn.
